Cast iron well in Šmarješke Toplice

It was supposed to be made in the second half of the 19th century in one of the Austrian foundry. In 1926 it was brought to Šmarješke Toplice by Viktor Gregorčič, a doctor, former owner and a beginner of tourism in Šmarješke Toplice. He installed drinking water and thus the well presented the first plumbing in Toplice. The yard around it became a place of rich social life. Slovenia only has four such wells preserved. This one is placed on the list of important cultural heritage.
